The Cincinnati Bengals drafted Illinois running back Chase Brown in the fifth round of the NFL Draft.
With Joe Mixon's future up in the air, the Bengals were a popular mock destination for a running back on the draft's first two days. Instead, they waited and ended up getting some value with Brown in the fifth round. Brown is a total workhorse who had 328 carries for over 1,600 rushing yards and ten touchdowns last season. At this point, Brown looks like a second round rookie pick. However, that would change dramatically should Mixon move on. Stay tuned.

Chase Brown performed well in all on-field drills at the NFL Combine, highlighted by a 4.43 40-yard dash
Brown is one of the big winners from this week's Combine after a stellar performance. His 40-time impressed, but he also produced a 40" vertical and a 10'7" broad jump. Brown loses some points in areas of agility, contact balance, and, to a lesser degree, patience but he made himself money this weekend and could be a sneaky second-round rookie selection in dynasty. Drafted situation will be key as it is with most running backs but he couldn't have done much more to help his draft-day stock. He's listed as DLF's RB12 and the R27 overall, both rankings which figure to rise in the wake of the Combine.
