Head coach Kevin Stefanski singled-out rookie receiver Cedric Tillman as a top performer
Stefanski acknowledge that all the rookies are "swimming" due to all the information but lauded Tillman's intelligence specifically. Without pads in training camp, it's far easier for rookies to catch the eye of coaches and fellow players, but all positive notes are good notes. Tillman is found as DLF's rookie WR10 and has a chance at early-career production as he fights for snaps in his rookie year. With Amari Cooper expected to move on following 2023 and Donovan Peoples-Jones still not considered a top-flight option, Tillman could benefit. He's listed as DLF's WR66 in our non-rookie rankings.

The Cleveland Browns selected Tennessee wide receiver Cedric Tillman in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft.
Tillman saw his college teammate Jalin Hyatt drafted with the 73rd overall selection but didn't have to wait long to join him as he was drafted one pick later by the Cleveland Browns. Tillman isn't the fastest receiver and has been set back by injuries but he's a solid jump ball catcher and should fit in nicely for Deshaun Watson and the Browns. Tillman should compete with Donovan Peoples-Jones to be the third receiver in Cleveland behind Amari Cooper and Elijah Moore. As such, Tillman is likely a third round pick in rookie drafts.

It's a holding-value time as Tillman continues to gain momentum in this receiver class lacking size. At 6' 3 3/8" and 213 lbs., Tillman has a chance to climb draft boards, perhaps as high as an early-second-round dynasty rookie selection with a good performance. After a productive junior season, turning in a 64/1,081/12 line, injuries shortened what could have been a significant season. Now fully healthy, Tillman could be on the rise from his WR9, R20-overall rookie status.

Cedric Tillman will be closely watched during the NFL Combine
Tillman continues to play second fiddle to fellow Tennessee receiver, Jalin Hyatt who presents more as a speed product. Tillman missed multiple games in his senior season due to a high ankle sprain but The Athletics Dane Brugler believes the 6'3/215 lbs. receiver "will put on a show" during the Combine and could run a sub-4.40 40-yard dash and leap 40-plus inches in the vertical. Should both of those predictions come to pass, he'll be a significant riser on draft day. He's found as DLF's WR9 and the R20 overall.

A prototypical boundary receiver, Tillman is a big-bodied, physical receiver who excels on the perimeter and has dominated some good teams.
