Who Is Trey Sermon?
An'treyon "Trey" Sermon is an American football running back for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League. He played college football at Oklahoma and Ohio State and was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft.

Running back Trey Sermon is expected to be "back in camp this summer" for the Eagles.
It makes sense as Sermon will be in the third year of his initial rookie deal so will be a cheap option. It's also noteworthy that Miles Sanders is an unrestricted free agent and will likely depart unless he finds a very soft market, a very possible scenario. As for Sermon, he lost the battle of numbers in San Francisco and wasn't able to climb the depth chart. At 6'/215 lbs., he remains a legitimate early-down candidate but the Eagles have also been linked to Bijan Robinson as a possible selection in the 2023 NFL Draft in addition to other free agents. 2023's running back free agency list is a long one and options are many for the team. Sermon is a sparsely ranked RB85 and will fall from the radar entirely if the Eagles acquire a bigger name in 2023.
