Quintez Cephus was released by the Lions following his indefinite suspension due to a violation of the NFL's gambling policy
Cephus reportedly bet on NFL games while sophomore receiver Jameson Williams, who was suspended six games, engaged in mobile sports betting while at the team's facility but not on NFL games. Cephus was on the rise before injury sidelined him and the Lions found success both in free agency and with their selection of Amon-Ra St. Brown in the fourth-round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He was never able reclaim a starting role and has now been released, possibly ending his NFL career. Quintez Cephus is not ranked on DLF's receiver rankings.
