The Denver Broncos drafted Oklahoma wide receiver Marvin Mims with the final pick of the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft.
Mims was taken with the final pick of the second round as the Denver Broncos traded up to get him. He is a serious big-play threat as he averaged an insane 20.1 yards per catch last season at Oklahoma. Mims projects as a slot receiver at the next level and should slot in nicely in between Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy. Russell Wilson has had success with players like Mims and while he has a lot to prove at the next level, this looks like a decent landing spot. Mims looks like a late second or third round rookie pick.

Marvin Mims is rising following his combine performance
Mims ran an impressive 4.38 40 while leaping an impressive 39.5" in his vertical at 5'11". In short, he was able to do what Tennessee speedster Jalin Hyatt couldn't, showing long speed which should find him rising on NFL draft boards. Mims finished his junior season with the Sooners with a career-high in yards (1,083) and receptions (54), also scoring six touchdowns on the season. He's found as DLF's rookie WR9 and the R20 overall though could be on the rise in coming days.

Mims has been percolating of late and remains a dynasty sleeper. The time will help move his draft stock higher though he'll likely remain a dynasty third-round rookie selection. He's listed as DLF's WR10 and the R28 overall.
