Kyle Pitts ranked 10th-overall in a recent article listing the top-ten tight ends in the NFL
Pitts has yet to live up to the ridiculously high expectations heaped atop him as a rookie in 2021. That said, he did produce 1,000 yards in his rookie season but only managed a single touchdown while Matt Ryan was under center. The wheels came off in 2022 as the team moved on from Ryan and Pitts suffered a season ending injury, only managing 356 yards on 28 receptions, but scored two touchdowns. Now in his third year, fully healthy, and with second-year quarterback Desmond Ridder at the helm, Pitts is well positioned to have his breakout season. Should Ridder not be the answer beyond 2023, however, a new rookie quarterback could be ushered in, impacting PItts once again. Turning 23 in October, there's plenty of time for the upside tight end to find his rhythm and develop into one of the leagues top players at the position, but should he falter again in 2023, erosion in his DLF TE2 ranking will likely follow.
