The Devy Fantasy Football Top 100: 55-51

Rob Willette picks out five more devy stars to watch as we reach the midpoint.

For many fantasy football managers, the period immediately following the Super Bowl is a chance to relax, reflect, and disconnect from the rollercoaster which is a fantasy football season. For dynasty managers, there may be no busier time. In fact, some say there is no off-season. It is a mantra I have seen somewhere. I cannot quite put my finger on it.

For devy managers? Clear your schedule, because the work starts now. The devy community now has to juggle two Signing Days and a transfer portal which creates unceasing player movement. It is both fun and impossible to manage, yet we persevere. Below are the top devy talents in the land, contained within an infallible list that requires no criticism.

55. Dorian Singer, WR USC (2024 Draft-Eligible)

Profile: Recruited as a safety by many out of my backyard in Saint Paul, Minnesota, Dorian Singer has blossomed into one of the nation’s better receivers. He clearly made an impression on Lincoln Riley with his 141-yard, three touchdown effort against the Trojans, and once he hit the portal, he became a priority for a USC program that has to replace Jordan Addison. Singer now becomes an important piece for a team with the nation’s best quarterback and college football playoff aspirations.

Singer is a dominant vertical threat, with his 29 receptions of 15-plus yards placing him second nationally. Singer does an excellent job of showing late hands and routinely goes up to make acrobatic plays over the defender. His ability to contort himself in mid-air is effortless and his smooth strides allow him to chew up yards downfield. Do not let his walk-on status fool you; Singer was greatly impacted by the pandemic and its impacts on the high school football scene. He is a premier talent ready to hit the primetime in Los Angeles.

2023 Outlook: While the Trojans do lose Jordan Addison, they do return Tahj Washington and Mario Williams, two prominent players in the 2022 offense. Fortunately, Singer has a unique skill set that should allow him to thrive in USC’s high-octane offense. The numbers should follow as he remains one of the Pac-12’s brightest stars.
